A Student Changing Classes

Learn what to do if you need to move to a new class

How class changes work

If you need to switch to a new class, for example if you have a new teacher or need access to a different course, your teacher will help make that change.

Students cannot move themselves between classes.

What to do

To change classes:

  1. Contact your current teacher
  2. Let them know you need to move to a different class
  3. Your teacher will update your class or coordinate with your new teacher

Your new teacher may need to confirm the change before it is completed.

Once the transfer is complete, you will see your new class and assigned courses the next time you log in.

What happens to your progress

Your progress is tied to your account, not your class.

This means:

  • You will not lose completed work
  • Your progress will carry over after the class change

If your new class uses different courses, your teacher will assign those once you are added.

Why your teacher manages class changes

Class lists are managed by teachers and your school to keep information accurate and secure.

Teacher involvement ensures:

  • You are added to the correct class
  • Your courses appear correctly
  • Your progress stays connected to your account

If you’re not sure who to contact

If you’re unsure who your new teacher is or can’t reach them:

  • Ask your school office or counselor for help
  • Let your current teacher know so they can assist
