Creating a Class
Learn how to create a class.
-
Log in to your K12 Teacher Site.
-
From your Dashboard, click Explore Courses or My Courses. Explore Courses is for courses that you have not yet added to your Dashboard, and My Courses are courses that are already added to your Dashboard.
-
Then click Add to Class.
-
Fill out the form and click Create Class.
-
Help with filling in the fields:
-
Class Name: What do you want to call this class?
-
Feel free to name it something you and your students will be familiar with (i.e. First Period Financial Literacy). There’s no pressure; this name can be changed at any time.
-
-
Start Date: What month will your students start using this course?
-
Choose the month you think you will use the course. You can always change your start date to earlier in the year.
-
-
Courses: What course(s) will the class be using?
-
The course(s) included with this class and registration code appear under Courses in the form.
-
If you clicked "Add to Class" on a specific course title, that course will automatically populate here.
-
To add courses to the class and same registration code:
-
Click the "Add Courses" button
-
Select any other courses you want to include. Make sure there is a checkmark in the course box.
-
-
-
-
Click "Save Selection" in the bottom right of the page to go back to the form's main page
-
Confirm the courses you want are listed under Courses in the form.
-
-
Class = your group of students that you have named ie: Smith Class 2
-
Course= the curriculum that you have attached to your class
-
After clicking Create you’ll be given a registration code for the class. You have the option to Share Registration Code which will give you a registration code to share with your students or Create Student Accounts on your own so that students can just log in with their username and password.
Note: You can share individual course codes so that they only get one course instead of multiple courses by Show Registration Codes for Individual Courses when you click on Share Registration Codes.
