Incentives and Achievements
Learn how incentives and achievements support student progress
Incentives and achievements are features that recognize student progress and engagement.
They are designed to:
- Celebrate learning milestones
- Encourage course completion
- Help students stay motivated as they work through assigned content
Note: Incentives and achievements are part of a newer experience and may not yet be available in all courses or for all schools. Additional features and availability will continue to expand over time.
Students may see achievements, incentives, or both depending on the courses and programs they are using.
Where achievements appear
Students can access their achievements directly from their dashboard.
Achievements are displayed:
- From the Achievements area in the top navigation
- Within the Opportunities section of the dashboard
This area highlights available opportunities and earned recognition in one place.
What achievements include
Achievements represent what a student has earned through their learning.
These may include:
- Course completion certificates
- Badges or other forms of recognition
Achievements help students track their progress across courses and over time.
What incentives are
An incentive is a reward tied to completing a specific learning goal.
Incentives may:
- Be connected to completing a course or set of lessons
- Highlight opportunities available to students
- Update when a student meets the required completion criteria
Students may see messaging or indicators when an incentive is available and when it has been earned.
How students earn achievements and incentives
Students earn achievements and incentives by completing assigned learning.
This may include:
- Finishing all lessons in a course
- Reaching a Certified status
- Completing a full program or required content
Each achievement or incentive is tied to a defined learning milestone.
