Invite a Guest Speaker

Inviting a guest speaker into your classroom can supplement your students' learning by adding a memorable real-world experience.  In this article you will learn how to invite a speaker to your classroom.

 

How to Request a Guest Speaker

1. Locate the “Request a Guest Speaker” Button

On your dashboard, you’ll see a Request a Guest Speaker button on sponsored courses.

You can also find the Guest Speaker option in the side navigation menu for quick access.

2. Submit Your Request

When you request a guest speaker, you’ll select the topic you want covered and suggest up to three dates and times for your class, starting from one month in advance.

3. Confirmation Email

After submitting your request, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you provided.

 

4. Visit Confirmation & Coordination

Once the visit is confirmed with a sponsor, you'll receive another email including the sponsor’s contact information for easy coordination.

At this point, you and the speaker can coordinate directly to ensure everything is ready for the classroom event.

 

5. Post-Event Survey

After the scheduled visit, you’ll receive a survey to share feedback.
This helps us track visits, volunteers, and learning hours, and improve the program for everyone.
