K-12 Release 2026.10
Release Date: 6.9.26
This release focuses on making everyday Homeroom workflows smoother and more reliable for teachers, while continuing to refine the student experience behind the scenes. Updates in this release improve class management for Clever‑rostered teachers, clarify Gradebook progress signals, make lesson materials easier to access, and add clearer context across dashboards.
Login Experience: Smoother Access with Single Sign‑On
Signing back into Homeroom after a temporary account lock is now more seamless for teachers using single sign‑on. Teachers who log in through providers like Clever can now access Homeroom again once a temporary lock expires, without encountering unnecessary interruptions. This improvement helps reduce friction when starting class or returning to Homeroom after a failed login attempt.
Class Management: More Reliable Editing for Clever‑Rostered Classes
Managing Clever‑synced classes is now more consistent and dependable. Improvements to how Clever‑rostered classes are handled make class lists more stable and easier to edit over time. This helps ensure teachers can confidently manage their classes without running into unexpected limitations.
Gradebook: Clearer, More Accurate Progress Indicators
Gradebook status indicators now better reflect student progress. Students who are actively working but have not yet received scores are represented more accurately in Gradebook summaries. This gives teachers a clearer at‑a‑glance view of class progress and helps direct attention where follow‑up is truly needed.
Course Details: Easier Access to Lesson Materials
Lesson plans and assessment keys are now easier to find and more consistently available. Teacher resources display more reliably on course details pages, even when sponsor‑provided materials are present, and better align with a teacher’s selected language. This helps teachers spend less time searching for materials and more time preparing instruction.
Opportunities: Clearer Messaging Across Dashboards
Opportunities are now easier to interpret when none are available. When there are no opportunities tied to a course or school, the Opportunities tab clearly communicates that instead of appearing empty. This reduces confusion and makes the dashboard easier to understand at a glance.
Student Dashboard: Continued Experience Refinements (For Teacher Awareness)
We made additional refinements to the student dashboard experience. These updates improve clarity and visual consistency for students, helping create a cleaner, more intuitive experience as they navigate their courses. While these changes do not affect instruction or grading, they contribute to a smoother day‑to‑day experience for students.
Accessibility Improvements
Homeroom continues to improve accessibility across dashboards. Updates enhance usability at high zoom levels and improve how screen readers interpret page elements. These changes support a more inclusive experience for educators who rely on accessibility tools.
Why This Matters
Together, these updates make Homeroom feel steadier, clearer, and easier to use. By improving class management, refining progress signals, simplifying access to lesson materials, and continuing to polish the student experience, Homeroom supports more confident, efficient day‑to‑day teaching.
