Preparing for the School Year '25-'26
Learn what to expect as you transition into the new school year
Each school year in Everfi has its own “implementation period,” which helps teachers start fresh while still preserving access to last year’s data.
What the Implementation Period Means
Everfi’s school year runs from July 1 to June 29. When a new school year begins:
- Your classes from the previous year are archived and removed from your My Classes view
- Students see last year’s work in their Past Courses tab instead of Current Courses
- Your Gradebook still stores all assessment data from the previous year for reference
This keeps your teacher dashboard clean while preserving important records.
How It Works for the 2025–2026 School Year
For the ’25–’26 school year:
- Classes do not automatically move into the new year
- All classes from the prior year are archived at the start of July
- Teachers have until August 1 to reactivate any classes they want to keep using in the new year
- After August 1, teachers must create new classes instead of reactivating old ones
If you’re reading this after the August 1 window, you will need to create new classes for ’25–’26.
What Can Be Reactivated
Most classes can be brought back, except:
- WORDForce, which is a course that is no longer available.
- Future Goals: Hockey Scholar, which has been updated with a new course version. This course must be added to newly‑created classes.
Accessing Last Year’s Data
Even if you cannot reactivate a class:
- You can still view previous-year assessment scores in Gradebook
- Students can still see their past course work in their Past Courses tab
All of your instructional history remains available to you.
