Rostering with Clever/ClassLink
Learn what “rostering” means when your district uses Clever or ClassLink
What Is Rostering?
Rostering is the process of taking information from a Student Information System (SIS), organizing it, and securely sharing it with another platform. Rostering does not create or manage users. Instead, it provides structured data—such as which students are in which classes—so digital tools can assign the right resources to the right learners.
Example
If a student has second‑period history with Mr. Smith, a rostering system uses the class roster from the SIS to give that student access to the correct digital materials, textbooks, and assignments for that specific class.
How Rostering Works with Clever/ClassLink Single Sign‑On
Clever and ClassLink standardize the data coming from your district’s SIS and securely share real‑time class rosters with Everfi. This automated connection ensures that:
- Teachers and students sign in with their district credentials
- Class sections and enrollments sync directly from the SIS
- Students see the correct courses tied to their rostered classes
This makes setup faster, reduces manual class creation, and keeps enrollments up to date as schedules change.
