Rostering with Clever/ClassLink

Learn how rostering works with Clever or ClassLink and how student and class data sync from your district’s system.

What rostered classes mean

If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, your classes and student lists come directly from your district’s system.

This process is called rostering.

Rostering connects your district’s Student Information System (SIS) to Everfi so that:

  • Your class sections are created automatically
  • Students are placed in the correct classes
  • Rosters stay up to date as schedules change

How rostering works

Your district’s SIS contains official information about:

  • Students
  • Teachers
  • Class schedules

Clever and ClassLink securely share this information with Everfi.

This means:

  • You do not need to manually add students
  • Your classes match your district’s official records
  • Updates made by your district appear automatically in your classes

Example: If a student is enrolled in your class through your school schedule, rostering ensures that student is placed in your class automatically and receives access to the correct course.

What this means for teachers

With rostering:

  • You do not manage student enrollment manually
  • Class changes must be made by your district administrator
  • Your job is to create classes using your rostered sections and add courses

Things to keep in mind

  • Rostering does not replace your district’s system
  • Changes to students or class schedules must be made at the district level
  • Rosters may take time to update depending on your district sync schedule
