Clever/ClassLink vs. Standard Registration for K‑12 Teachers

Learn how Clever and ClassLink differ from standard student registration in Everfi

What Clever and ClassLink Do

Clever and ClassLink are single sign-on (SSO) services that districts use to simplify student access to multiple learning apps. Students sign in to their school portal once—usually with a Microsoft or Google account—and can open all connected apps without creating separate usernames or passwords.

Everfi integrates with these services to make it easier for teachers and students to access learning resources.

How Clever and ClassLink Support Everfi Teachers

When your district uses Clever or ClassLink:

  • Students sign in with SSO and do not need to register directly in Everfi.
  • Rostering data flows from the district, so students automatically see the correct classes and course content.
  • Teachers can assign courses to specific sections using the class lists provided by Clever or ClassLink.
  • Students are enrolled automatically in the teacher’s class when they sign in through SSO—no class codes required.

How Standard Registration Works

If your district is not using Clever or ClassLink:

  • You create classes manually in Everfi.
  • Each class generates a unique class code.
  • Students register on the Everfi platform and enter the class code to join your class.
