Student Thinks They Have Lost Progress
Learn what to do if a student thinks they have lost their progress
While this situation is rare, students or teachers sometimes reach out because it seems like progress has disappeared in a course. In most cases, the issue can be resolved once we gather more information.
What to Do if a Student Reports Lost Progress
If a student feels they have lost progress, please collect and share as much detail as possible with our Support team. This helps us investigate quickly and accurately.
Provide:
- The name of the course where progress appears to be missing
- When the progress was believed to be lost (which module or lesson)
- How far the student had progressed before noticing the issue
- Any screenshots showing previous progress, if available
How We Investigate
Although we cannot guarantee that lost progress can be restored, our team will make every effort to determine what happened. Several factors can contribute to progress appearing incomplete, including:
- Internet interruptions or loss of connection while a lesson was saving
- Switching devices and accidentally logging in with a different account
- Confusion between multiple courses or modules with similar content
- Closing a lesson before completing a required interactive element
Tips to Prevent Progress Issues
You can help reduce the chance of progress issues by reminding students to:
- Use the same device and login each time they return to a course
- Avoid closing the browser during an activity or assessment
- Complete all interactive elements before moving forward
- Check for stable internet before starting a lesson
