Student Course Certifications and Printing Certificates (New Teacher Experience)
Learn how course certifications work and how to print certificates for certified students
What course certifications are
All Everfi courses include a certificate of completion.
A certificate becomes available when a student completes all required course content and reaches a Certified status. Certificates are generated as PDF files and confirm successful course completion.

Where learners access their certificates
When a learner completes a course, their certificate becomes available on the Learner Dashboard. Learners can download their own certificates directly.
If a learner has completed a course but does not see a certificate, they should contact Support and include the course name for assistance.
Where teachers access student certificates
Teachers access student certificates from Grades and Progress within a class.
To get there:
- Go to My Classes
- Select the class you’re focusing on
- Select the course
- Open Grades and Progress
Certificate actions are always tied to the selected class and course.
When certificates are available
Teachers can print certificates only for students who show a Certified status.
Certificates are not available for:
- Students who have not completed the course
- Students who are still in progress
- Archived classes or past implementation periods
Ways to print student certificates
Teachers can print certificates in several ways, depending on whether they need certificates for multiple students or an individual student.
Print certificates in bulk
To download certificates for all certified students in a class and course:
Open Grades and Progress for the class and course
- Confirm that at least one student is marked Certified
- Select Print all certificates
This downloads certificates only for students who are certified in the selected class and course.
Print certificates from the Grades and Progress table

Teachers can also print certificates directly from the Grades and Progress table.
When viewing the table:
- Certificate actions appear only for certified students
- Select the certificate icon in the Actions column to open a printable certificate file
Print certificates from a student’s grades
For individual student requests:
- In Grades and Progress, select the arrow to View grades for the student
- From the student’s Grades view, select View/Print Certificate

The certificate opens in a new browser tab.
What to expect when printing
When printing certificates:
- Certificates open as PDF files in a new browser tab
- Each certificate includes the student’s name and course information
- Printing and saving are controlled by your browser settings
For best results, review your browser’s print layout before printing.
Things to keep in mind
- Certificates are available only after a student is certified
- Print options remain unavailable until at least one certified student is included
- Certificate availability depends on course completion and certification status
