K-12 Release 2025.20
Release Date: 11.04.25
This release brings updates designed to simplify account management, improve classroom workflows, and give you clearer insights into student progress. Whether you’re logging in, creating classes, or reviewing grades, these changes help you work smarter and support students with confidence. Here’s what’s new:
Teacher Dashboard & Account Updates
Password Experience Updates
We’ve made it easier to keep accounts secure without unnecessary complexity. Here’s what’s changing:
No More Expiration
Teacher and student passwords will no longer expire annually—so you won’t need to reset them unless you choose to.
Simpler Requirements
Passwords now require two of three character types (letter, number, symbol) instead of three of four.
Minimum length stays the same: 8 characters for students, 12 for teachers.
Password Strength Meter
You’ll see a strength indicator when creating or updating passwords:
- Teachers: Password must be Strong or Very Strong.
- Students: Password must be Medium or stronger.
Reduced Password History
You can’t reuse your last three passwords (previously six), giving you flexibility while maintaining security.
New Teacher Dashboard Experience
We’ve refined the New Teacher Dashboard experience to make navigation easier and class management more intuitive. Here’s what’s new:
Smarter Routing
We’ve made it easier to get where you need to go. When you try the new dashboard, you’ll land on the page that makes the most sense for you, whether that’s exploring courses or managing your classes, so you can start teaching faster.
Improved Google SSO Flow
Enjoy a smoother, more reliable sign-in process with Google, helping you connect quickly and confidently.
Manage Students with Ease
Finding the right content for your students is easier than ever. New Topic and Language filters let you quickly narrow courses by topic and language, so you can customize learning without the guesswork.
Grades & Progress Updates
We’ve refreshed the Gradebook page to give you clearer insights at a glance. Labels are easier to understand, and a new summary chart helps you spot trends quickly, so you can focus on supporting students who need attention.
Student Grades Page Overhaul
The Student Grades page has been redesigned for speed and clarity. Key actions like viewing certificates and profiles are front and center, and the layout makes it easy to find enrollment details and sort information. Everything you need for grading and tracking progress is now streamlined.
Other Enhancements
We’ve made small but meaningful improvements across the dashboard, like removing archived classes from dropdown menus, supporting teacher resource videos in course details, and improving accessibility in forms, so your experience feels smoother all around.
