Clever or ClassLink (SSO): Missing Classes When Creating a Class (New Teacher Experience)
What to check if your rostered sections don’t appear
Why this happens
When your school uses Clever or ClassLink for single sign‑on, class sections come directly from your district’s Student Information System (SIS). These sections should appear when you’re creating a class in Everfi.
If you don’t see your sections, it usually means there’s an issue with how the section is shared, assigned, or synced.
Confirm you’re logged in using SSO
You must log in through your district’s Clever or ClassLink portal—or select Log in with Clever or Log in with ClassLink on the Everfi sign‑in page.
If you log in with a username and password instead, rostered sections will not load.
Check whether you are the primary teacher
Only the primary teacher assigned to a section in your SIS will see that section in Everfi.
If you are listed as a co‑teacher or are not assigned to the section, it will not appear.
If you believe you should be the primary teacher, contact your district administrator to update the SIS.
Verify your sections appear in Clever or ClassLink
If a section does not appear in your Clever or ClassLink portal, it will not sync to Everfi.
Your district must ensure:
- The section exists in the SIS
- The section is shared with Everfi
- You are correctly assigned as the primary teacher
Confirm the section hasn’t already been used to create a class
If you previously created a class using a rostered section, that section will not appear again as an available option.
If you need to reuse the section:
- Check whether the class already exists
- Archive or manage the existing class as needed instead of creating a duplicate
Ensure teachers and students have logged in at least once
Teachers and students appear in Everfi only after logging in through Clever or ClassLink at least once.
If a section appears empty, ask students to launch Everfi from their district portal so the roster can sync.
If your sections still don’t appear
If none of your sections are available:
- Create a manual (non‑SSO) class to get started
- Then contact your district administrator to confirm:
- The section exists in the SIS
- You are set as the primary teacher
- Everfi is authorized to receive rostering data
