Where is my class code? (Clever or ClassLink schools)

Why you don’t see a class code

If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, students do not join your class using a class code. Instead:

• Students are automatically added to your class through your district’s roster

• Students will appear in your class after they log in through Clever or ClassLink for the first time

This means you don’t need to share a code or manually add students to a rostered class.

How students access your class

In Clever or ClassLink schools, student access is managed through your district’s student information system (SIS).  To access your class, students:

1. Log in through your school’s Clever or ClassLink portal
2. Open the Everfi app from their dashboard

After their first login, they will appear in your class automatically.

If a student is not appearing in your class

If a student is missing, the issue is usually related to login or rostering—not a missing class code.

Check the following:

• Confirm the student is logging in through Clever or ClassLink
  Students who log in directly on the Everfi website will not be connected to your rostered class
• Confirm the student has logged in at least once
  Students only appear in your class after their first SSO login
• Confirm the student is included in your roster
  If the student is not assigned to your section, they will not appear in your class

• If the student has logged in and still does not appear, contact your district administrator to review and update your roster.

When to use a class code

Class codes are only used with custom (non‑rostered) classes. You may use a class code if you create a custom class without a rostered section, or a student needs immediate access and cannot wait for a roster update.

Custom classes are separate from Clever or ClassLink classes and do not sync with your district roster.
