Student Progress Tied to Another Teacher

Learn what to do if a student’s progress is tied to another teacher

Why you may not see a student’s progress

Student progress is tied to the class and teacher who created it.

If a student completed a course in another teacher’s class, you will not be able to view that progress in your gradebook.

What this means

  • Each class has its own gradebook
  • Student progress is only visible within the class where it was completed
  • Progress does not automatically carry over between teachers’ gradebooks

What you can do

If you need access to a student’s progress from another class:

  • Ask the other teacher to share the information directly
  • This may include screenshots or exported progress details

This is currently the most reliable way to review progress across classes.

Looking ahead

We understand that this can be challenging, especially when teachers share students or collaborate.

Improvements to support multi-teacher visibility and shared class management are being explored for future updates.
