How grades and progress are organized
Student grades and progress are connected to:
- A specific course
- A specific class
- Individual student enrollments
Teachers can review grades at the class level, across multiple classes using the Gradebook, or for an individual student.
Where to view grades for a class
Class‑level grades and progress are viewed from My Classes.
To view grades for a course: 
- Go to My Classes
- Select View Class for the class you want to review
- On the course card, select View Grades
This opens the Grades & Progress section for the course, showing grade and completion information for all students in the class.
Where to View Grades
Teachers can access grade information in two ways.
Option 1: Grades & Progress
Use Grades & Progress when reviewing a specific class and course.
To access Grades & Progress:
- Go to My Classes.
- Select View Class for the class you want to review.
- Locate the course.
- Select View Grades.
This opens the Grades & Progress view for the selected course and displays grade, progress, and certification information for all students in the class.
Option 2: Gradebook
Use the Gradebook when you need to review student progress across multiple classes for a curriculum.
To access the Gradebook:
- Select Gradebook from the navigation menu.
- Select the curriculum you want to review.
- Use filters to narrow your results, including:
- Class
- Certification Status
- School Year
- Select a student to view additional details.
The Gradebook provides a centralized view of student progress and makes it easier to find student records across classes.
What you will see in Grades & Progress
Grades are based on student performance on assessments within a course.
As students complete lessons and assessments, their scores and progress update automatically.
In the Grades & Progress view, you can review: 
- Student names
- Assessment scores
- Course progress
- Completion status
- Certification status
This view helps you monitor class performance and identify trends in student progress and course completion.
Viewing grades for an individual student
If you need more detailed information beyond the class view, you can open Student Details from My Students using the Student Details icon in the Action column.
From Student Details, you can:
- Open a specific course
- Review assessment scores
- View pre-assessment and post-assessment results, when available
- Review student progress
- View score history and attempts
This view is useful when focusing on the performance and progress of a single student.
Viewing grades vs editing grades
Viewing grades allows you to review student performance without making changes.
If you need to:
- Correct or update a score
- Add a grade due to an issue or exception
- Modify an assessment result

Things to keep in mind
- Grades can be reviewed from either Grades & Progress or the Gradebook.
- Student Details provides additional information beyond the class-level view.
- Viewing grades does not modify student data.
- Assessment scores update automatically as students complete course activities.
- Grade changes must be made through the grade-editing workflow.
